Gene Burleson

Mr. Gene E. Burleson has served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee of EHI, Inc. since 2011. He serves as the Chairman of Medical Acquisition Corp. Mr. Burleson serves as a Director of Medisync Bioservices Inc. He served as a Director of Marina Medical Billing Service, Inc. He has been a Director of First Wave Technologies, Inc since January 2011. Mr. Burleson has been a Director of SunLink Health Systems Inc. since 2003, Dr. Tattoff, Inc., since August 2010 and THCG Inc., since 1996. He serves as a Director of Mariner Post-Acute Network Inc., Alternative Living Services Inc and Nesco Industries Inc. Mr. Burleson serves as a Member of Advisory Board of RentBureau, LLC. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Pet DRx Corporation from June 2005 to January 2008 and again from September 25, 2008 to November 2010. Mr. Burleson served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Echo Healthcare Acquisition Corp. In 2006, along with other established life science executives, Mr. Burleson joined MediSync. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Vitalink Pharmacy Services Inc. from February 1997 to August 1997. Mr. Burleson served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of GranCare Inc. from December 1990 to February 1997, which, under his management, grew from under $10 million in revenue to become one of the nation’s largest publicly traded long-term healthcare providers with revenues in excess of $1 billion.

Previously, he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pet DRx Corporation. Mr. Burleson served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of American Medical International Inc. and a predecessor to Tenet Healthcare Corp., from June 1986 to March 1989. He served as the Managing Director of AMI’s international operations from May 1981 to June 1986. Mr. Burleson served as the Chairman of Pet DRx Corporation from June 2005 to November 2010. Mr. Burleson served as the Chairman of Mariner Healthcare Inc. from January 1999 to June 2002, GranCare Inc. from January 1994 to November 1997, Alterra Healthcare Corp. from January 2003 to December 2003 and Mariner Post-Acute Network Inc. from January 2000 to June 2002. He served as the Chairman of Mariner Post-Acute Network and as a Director of Prospect Medical Holdings. Mr. Burleson served as a Director of Deckers Outdoor Corp. from September 1993 to May 29, 2009 and Pet DRx Corporation from June 2005 to July 2010. Mr. Burleson served as a Director of Alterra Healthcare Corp. from January 1995 to December 2003 and Vyteris, Inc. since December 1, 2010, Prospect Medical Holdings Inc. from July 2004 to September 2008, Vitalink Pharmacy Services Inc. from June 1996 to November 1999 and American Medical International Inc. from June 1986 to March 1989. He served as a Director of Echo Healthcare Acquisition Corp. Mr. Burleson served as a Director of Walnut Financial Services Inc. since June 1996 and served as a Director of Walnut Capital Corp., since June 1996. He served as a Director of HealthMont Inc. from its inception in September 2000 until its merger with SunLink in October 2003.

In addition, he has been involved with several private healthcare companies as an investor and Director, including BioHorizons Implant Systems, Inc., DTS America, Inc., Med Images, Inc., Marina Medical, Inc., Footcare Associates, Inc. and David Braun Productions, Inc. Mr. Burleson has an extensive and successful track record of consolidation within the healthcare industry.
